Noble Tilda

These are 2 cards I made last year. I used Copic Markers to color Noble Tilda. The pieces on both cards are distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. I punched the shapes with Spellbinders, Martha Stewart, and Sizzix dies. The pink roses were airbrushed with Copics.

Angel Tilda

I made this card about 4 months ago. I am very happy with the result.  I have used several layers and various techniques. I consider the style to be Shabby Chic.

The stamp is Magnolia Angel Tilda. I have used Spellbinder and Cottage Cutz dies, along with EK Success and Martha Stewart punches.

The ribbon, flowers, and paper are from my stash. The cardstock is DCWV. Tilda is colored with Copics and I have added glitter to her halo and wings. Waterfall Stickles surround the text frame.

Birthday Card

This is my daughter's birthday card I made this year. I have had the image colored for some time, and decided to use it to make her card. I often sit and color images while my husband watches TV in the evening. The Sarah Kay image has been colored with Copic Markers. I have used Spellbinders Elegant Oval dies. I added dragonflies to 2 corners using Magnolia Dragonfly dies. The other 2 corners have mini roses with Martha Stewart punches. I have distressed the card with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.

It was wonderful--I was able to celebrate Kelly's 27th birthday with her and my son, Kevin. They both live in Galt, CA and I live in Boise, ID. We went white water rafting on the South Fork of the Payette River. Wow--what an adventure!!! We went on the level 4 raft trip through Cascade Raft and Kayak. The raft flipped on its side and 5 of us fell out. Kelly and the 2 guides were the only ones to stay in. It was pretty scary for a while because it happened so fast and unexpectedly, but all went well after that.

Long time ----- no action!!!

Wow--it has been 5 months since I started my blog and I have only posted twice (in the same day). I don't really know what I am doing, so that is why it has been so long. I need to just go for it and not worry about how it looks.

This is what I have been making recently--I am using discarded library books and changing them into journals/notebooks. I take the book apart and reuse the covers and a few pages. I add blank paper and cardstock to make a journal. I also use other pages to make mini notepads or note cards. It is a form of recycling that is known as upcycling. I have boxes of old library books that I have had for 10+ years, because I couldn't stand the thought of throwing books away when I weeded school libraries. These books are classics and I like to think I am giving them a new life.

So I am spending my summer making papercrafts of many kinds. I will try to be more consistent about posting on my blog. My goal is to have at least one post per week. Wish me luck.

Valentine tag

One of my favorite styles is "vintage/distressed" in papercrafts. My current go-to stamp is anything by Magnolia. I looooove their new mini stamps! This is a tag I made using my Tim Holtz distressing tool and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The background of the tag was made using Hero Arts Heart Flourish stamp and Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink. The text and Tilda With Hearts stamps are all by Magnolia. Tilda was colored with Copics and I added glitter to the hearts. The lace diecut is also by Magnolia. I used Spellbinders Elegant Oval diecut embossed with Cuttlebug embossing plates. The roses are Recollections by Michaels.

This is a card I had previously made, but I have now modified it. My original posting was to my SCS gallery in April 2010. I have added additional embellishments and a saying. I included small flower diecuts to the butterfly and Sizzix swirls colored with Sea Glass Glimmer Mist. The saying is a Magnolia stamp with TAC sentiment.

Welcome. . .

to my new blog! This is where I will display some of my papercrafts. I have been collecting paper since I was a toddler. My mom tells me I pushed a baby buggy around that was filled with paper scraps and I was extremely protective of it. I knew immediately if something was missing. Here I am 50 years later and papercrafting is one of my passions.
